½ c. butter, softened
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1-1/4 c. all-purpose flour
½ c. ground toasted pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl, blending well. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hour.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. On a lightly floured board, roll out dough, using a floured rolling pin. Roll to ¼ inch thickness. Using a small heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut out dough. Transfer cookies to an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.

Remove pan from oven and cool cookies on wire racks.
