1 1/2 C brown sugar
1 1/2 C white sugar
2 C oleo
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
8 C flour
2 tsp salt (may be reduced)
2 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 C nutmeats
2 C dates

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugars and oleo and then add eggs and mix well. Mix dry ingredients and add to mixture. Add nuts and dates. Mix well. Make two long rolls on plastic wrap or foil. Refrigerate overnight. Slice in 1/4" slices and bake at 375º for approximately 12 minutes.
