2 cups sugar,
1/2 cup vinegar,
lemon juice

Directions:

Cook sugar and vinegar until brittle without stirring.
Flavor with a few drops of lemon.
Cool in pan.
Then work (pull)
If desired to keep roll in powdered sugar.

leave in pan till totally cooled.
Hit with the heavy end of a butter knife to break in small pieces.

It works well.
