1 c. Minute Rice, uncooked
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
2 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, divided
2 Tbsp. water

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bow;l combine rice, ground beef, egg, onion, salt, pepper, water and 1/2 of the tomato sauce. Shape mixture into 12-18 meatballs. Brown meatballs in a small amount oil in a skillet. Drain grease and spoon remainder of tomato sauce over each meatball. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or remove meatballs to a baking dish, add remaining tomato sauce, cover and bake at 325º for 30 minutes.

Dane's favorite when Grandma is babysitting. Original recipe calls for 1 1/2 c. tomato juice, divided in place of tomato sauce. I prefer using the sauce.
