1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda, dissolved in 1/3 cup boiling water
1 1/2 cup flour
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts (or pecans)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, vanilla and baking soda mixture. Stir in flour, rolled oats and salt. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350ºF for 15 minutes.

Don't skimp on the chocolate chips and nuts!
