1 cup sugar
1cup butter
2 eggs
1/3 cup molasses
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup hot coffee
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ginger
Frosting:
6 TBSP butter – melted and browned
1 ½ cup powdered sugar - sifted
Hot coffee

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Mix molasses and soda into the hot coffee. Mix spices with flour. Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture alternating with the hot coffee mixture.
Spray 9 x 12 pan with Pam. Add mixture and bake 20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
Brown butter slightly in small pot. Add 1 ½ cup sifted powdered sugar. Slowly add hot coffee a little at a time until the frosting is a good consistency for spreading. Frost on the cool bars and slice into 24 squares.
