Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 batch of your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough (or use refrigerated cookie dough)

1 pkg. of 12 (0.5 oz.) candy canes or 24 miniature candy canes
Parchment paper

Directions:
Directions:
First, heat the oven to 375°. Line the cookie sheets with parchment paper. Next, unwrap the candy canes & put them in a baggie. Now put that baggie in another baggie. Place the baggie on a hard surface, like a cutting board or a cement floor. Crush the candy canes. You can use a rolling pin, but my children enjoyed crushing the candy canes with a hammer on the back porch. Watch your
fingers! The canes need to be crushed into fairly tiny pieces, smaller than an M&M candy. Now, mix the crushed peppermint candy with the chocolate chip cookie dough. Drop the dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in. apart onto cookie sheets covered with parchment paper. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
