1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. cream of tartar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, butter, egg and vanilla. Add sugar and combine. Add all other dry ingredients and combine until dough forms. Do not over mix. Chill 1/2 hour. Take out only the amount you are going to roll and keep the other in the refrigerator until you are ready to use. Roll out to approximately 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 325º for 8-9 minutes. Frost with your favorite Buttercream icing.
