Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 c sugar
1 c lard (Crisco)
1 c molasses
1/1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. soda
salt
Flour
3/4 c hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together. Roll out and cut into circles or use different shape cookie cutters. Flip each cookie in sugar before baking. (I always remember them as just circles, warm out of the oven)

I think 2 cups flour would work but you will have to work with it. It is all about the texture, think sugar cookie.

Bake 10-12 minutes @ 350º.
