Syrup
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. boiling water

Batter
1/2 c.white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. melted margarine
1 c. milk
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
2 c. flour
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Directions:
Directions:
Mix batter and drop by spoonfuls onto hot syrup that has been poured into a deep corning ware dish. Bake at 350º for 20-30 minutes.
Serve with light cream.
