Cookies:
1 c. butter (no substitutes)
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs cracked into liquid measuring cup + enough milk to equal 1 c. total.
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
5 c. flour

Frosting:
1/3 c. butter (softened)
1/4 c. milk
1 t. vanilla
1/4 t. salt
4 c. powdered sugar (1 lb.)

Directions:
Directions:
Cookies: Cream together butter and sugar. Add salt, vanilla, egg/milk mixture and blend just until incorporated. Add dry ingredients and mix. If dough is sticky, refrigerate for an hour or so. Roll our thick and cut into desired shape. Bake at 350º for approx. 9 min. Do not let them brown. Remove from oven and let cool.

Frosting:
Blend all ingredients and frost cookies!

These cookies are so delicious. I used to make them for the Primary kids in our ward on General Conference Sunday as a reward for watching conference.

They should be soft and moist. Don't let them brown in the oven or they will be dry. One batch makes about 35 cookies.
