1 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp water
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup flour
2 cups oatmeal
1 package chocolate chips
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients, grease cookie sheet and drop cookies on sheet. Cook 10 - 15 minutes at 350º.

From the kitchen of Eunice Overgaard. Mom got this recipe from our neighbors in Forest City Iowa... their name was Damm... hence the nick name for the Damm Cookies. This was Luther's favorite!
