1 Cup Sugar
1 cup shortening (1/2 butter, ½ margarine)
2 Eggs
1 ½ Cups Raisins, cover with water and cook till plump, then cool.
5 Tbsp. raisin water
2 cups Oatmeal
2 cups Flour
1 tsp. Soda
Nuts, if desired

Mix all ingredients; drop by teaspoonful (heaping) on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 – 12 minutes. 375º
