1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
2 rounded tsp cinnamon
1 scant tsp salt
2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together. Press into a cookie pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cups granulated sugar and chocolate chips. Bake at 350 about 20 minutes.

Can add a little more flour and roll out, cut into shapes and frost.
