1 cup soft butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp lemon flavoring
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
(no salt)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and flavorings.
Stir in dry ingredients. Don't make the dough too stiff. Chill dough. Roll out and cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake about 5 minutes. Don't overbake. Frost when cool. Grandma Dot always used a plain powdered sugar/milk icing with sprinks.
