3 cps fresh or frozen blackberries, thawed and drained
1/2 cp granulated sugar
2 tbsps cornstarch
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Lattice:
3/4 cp flour
3 tsps sugar, divided
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsps cold butter
1 tbsp shortening
3 tbsps cold water
1 egg white, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
1) Place blackberries in a bowl.
2) Combine sugar and cornstarch; sprinkle over berries.
3) Add lemon juice and cinnamon; toss to coat.
4) Spoon into greased 1 qrt baking dish.
5) In a bowl, combine the flour, 1 tsp sugar and salt.
6) Cut in butter and shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
7) Add water; toss with fork until a ball forms.
8) Roll out pastry; cut into strips and make lattice crust over filling; crimp edges.
9) Brush with egg white; sprinkle with remaining sugar.
10) Bake at 375f for 40 to 50 mins or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.
11) Cool on wire rack.
