1 cup of plain white fine corn meal
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 large onion sliced and separated
3 eggs

in med. size bowl beat eggs
in another med. bowl mix all dry ingredients
dip onion slices into egg mix
roll in dry mix deep fry until golden brown
