1 pkg, yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 cup scalded milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
3 well-beaten eggs
4 1/2 cups unsifted bread flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in water. Combine milk, 1/4 cup sugar, salt and butter, cool. Add yeast, eggs, and flour, beat until smooth. Cover and let rise till doubled, about 1 hour. Stir down and pour into 2 greased 8" round pans. Let rise about 30 minutes. Sprinkle each with 2 T. sugar and bake at 400º for 25 minutes.
