1 lb. butter
12 eggs
1 lb. ground almonds
2 lbs. granulated sugar
flour
4 teaspoons cinnamon
egg yolk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter, eggs, ground almonds and cinnamon together in a KitchenAid Mixer. Slowly add flour till ball forms. Separate into several balls and wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate for approximately 1 hour. Roll out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutters. Mix egg yolk with a little water. Brush egg yolk and water on cookies. Bake till golden.

I remember eating these German Christmas cookies at my Grandma and Grandpa's farm. She made many batches of these cookies and stored them in large lard tins.
