Use a bacon bits jar to save leftover pickle juice and use it in potato salad mix.

When frosting a cake- first make a thin glaze and pour over the cake and let it set first. Then when you frost it will be a neater job. A good glaze is 2 C powdered sugar and 1/2 t cream of tartar and boiling water to spread easily.

To make good potato salad- save some pickle juice and some pickle relish to mix in with the mayo.

Keep a small jar of minced garlic in the refrig and add a small amount to whatever for added taste.

A House Warming Gift- in a basket put a loaf of bread, a box of salt, and a bottle of wine and this verse.
May your house never know hunger- bread
May your house always have flavor- salt
May joy and prosperity reign forever- the wine.

Put a t. of coconut flavoring in sweet potatoes

Put vanilla flavoring in cole slaw.

Put a pinch of allspice in pumpkin pie cool whip topping

Try a pinch of cloves and some tomato paste in beef soup

Use some cornstarch in pumpkin pie filling for a smooth creamy taste.

Use dill weed in potato salad

Try hot pepper and dill weed in tomato soup

Try adding a T of grape jam to spaghetti sauce

Add bacon bits to macaroni and cheese

Put green olives and Worcestershire sauce in oyster stew
