Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons honey
a dash of salt
icing & sprinkles

Directions:
Begin by hand-beating the butter and margarine for about thirty seconds, then add in sugar, baking powder, honey and a dash of salt. Continue beating the mixture until all the ingredients are combined, including the egg and vanilla. Beat in as much flour as possible and knead it if necessary. Once the dough is easy to handle, divide it into halves. Now you can start to prepare the cookie sheet. Lightly flour a flat, smooth surface on which you will roll the dough halves separately. Flatten them to be about 1/8 inch thick, then cut into your desired shape and size. Finally, place the cut-outs on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake them until the edges are firm and the bottoms are browned lightly. This will take about seven or eight minutes, baked at 375º. Cover the cookies and set them out to cool for about thirty minutes, then cover the tops with your desired icing. Serve and enjoy!
