1 c water
1/2 c brown sugar
2 1/2 cups sugar
4 T Karo Syrup
2 egg whites
1 t vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil first four ingredients until it is at a hard ball; spin thin thread

Mix 2 large egg whites until fluffy, add vanilla. Add boiling mixture, mix until creamy then stir until not sticky to touch; roll out using powdered sugar or flour and then spread peanut butter on top. Roll up and then slice.

One thing I remember about this is when we were all in high school, Mom would make candy for s.ome of our teachers. Sometimes, the container would be a shoe box. Everyone loved it when we delivered their shoebox of peanut roll candy. Especially, Lowell Williams (Moose), I remember Moose telling Mom to put his candy in one of John Paul's shoe boxes. JP wore a size 12 shoe!
