1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
3 eggs (beaten in one at a time)
1/4 cup sour milk
1 tsp soda - put soda in a little boiling water, then add to sour milk)
4 cup flour
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 to 1/2 tsp nutmeg
