1 yeast packet
1/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup milk scalded
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp.orange juice
1 Tbsp. orange rind
3 cups flour
2 cans of poppy seed

Directions:
Directions:
Soften and set aside yeast and water. Cool the scalded milk. Cream together the butter and sugar, add the rest of the ingredients to butter and sugar and slowly add milk and yeast mixture, do not over mix. Kneed for 10 minutes. Roll to about 16x20 rectangle.If you have a bread maker, you can add the dry ingredients first then add the liquids instead for the dough. Place on greased cookie sheet. Spread the poppy seed on to the dough once rolled out. Roll over onto itself until poppy seed is covered. Rise until double ( 45-60 min) can rise in oven ( preheat to 200º) turn off oven and put a bowl of water in there.
Bake at 375º for 40 min, or until the outer layer turns brown.
