1 3/4 Cups all-purpose Flour (sifted)
1/2 Tsp. Soda
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Cocoa
1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla
Marshmallows (large)

Frosting:
2 Cups Sugar
1/4 Cup Karo Syrup
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine
2 oz. Unsweetened Chocolate
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Vanilla

Cookies:
Mix all ingredients except the marshmallows and drop on cookie sheet.
Bake 8 minutes in 350º oven. Cut large marshmallows in half and place sticky side down on each cookie. Bake an additional 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Cover with fudge frosting.

Frosting:
Mix all ingredients and cook over med-high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Let it boil hard for exactly 1 minute or until it reaches 220º on a candy thermometer. Let cool until it thickens and then spoon over cookies. (this can take a while)
