1 lb Raisins.
2 cups water.
2 cups sugar.
3 tbsp shortening.
1 BTL 8 oz Maraschino Cherries cut up fine.
1 apple cut fine leave skin on.
2 tsp Cinnamon.
1 tsp Cloves.
1 tsp All Spice.
1 tsp Mace.
1/2 tsp salt.
1/2 lb English Walnuts (2 cans).
1 tsp baking soda.
3 1/2 to 4 cups unsifted flour.
Directions:
Directions:
Boil first 4 ingredients together for 5 minutes and let cool.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Bake @ 325 degrees for about 1 1/2 hours.
