1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 cups oatmeal
5 tblsp Raisin Liquid
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins for 10 minutes, let cool drain, save liquid, blend raisins. Stir soda into raisin liquid. Add this to mixture of flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well and add vanilla, oatmeal, raisins and nuts(If you want nuts) Grease pan and drop by tsp on pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375.

These are very good. It is a good way for kids to eat raisins. You don't even know the raisins are in the cookie and the cookie is really good.
