2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 9" x 13" or 8" x 11" pan. Cook sugar, milk, baking soda, and salt in 2 qt. saucepan over med. heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Cook, stirring occasionally, to soft ball stage. Cool slightly, stir, and pour into buttered pan. Cool until firm. Cut into 1" squares.
