Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is one of the recipes I have in my mother's (Marie) own handwriting. She also notes: "I make the recipe 1 1/2 times at Christmas & Easter. It takes 1 lb. butter." Some of my brothers still want their wives to make these for Christmas (just like Mom). Editor's note: Maureen Letcher also submitted this recipe as one her mother (Dorothy Ann - another daughter of Marie's) made.
