1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sorghum molasses
2 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
Enough glour for stiff dough

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add sorghum and buttermilk with the soda dissolved in it. Add cinnamon, ginger and enough flour to make stiff dough. Let stand overnight in refrigerator. Roll out; cut and spread with sugar. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 375º oven.
