1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
3 eggs, well beaten
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sherry or 1/2 c. milk and 2 T sherry flavoring
7 c. chopped nuts
6 slices (1 lb.) candied pineapple, cut up
2 c. (1 lb.) candied cherries, cut up
2 c. (1 lb.) dates chopped
3/4 lb. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 7 ingredients, then add nuts, candied fruits, dates and raisins. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300º for 20-30 minutes. I make small ones. Yields about 100 cookies. Keeps well, so make ahead.
