1 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C. butter
1 C. granulated sugar
1 C. powdered sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 C. oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Mix together the flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Cream the butter and sugars together. Add the eggs and beat until fluffy. Add the oil and vanilla. Beat, then beat in the flour mixture. Chill overnight. Roll in balls. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar, or cut out and decorate. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.

These are delicious, crisp and they melt-in-your-mouth! This is a large recipe, as it makes 10 dozen. These freeze well and the 10 dozen won't last long!
