3 (16-ounces) French Style, frozen green beans
2 cans water chestnuts, sliced
1 (8-ounce) can mushrooms, sliced
2 (16-ounce) cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 large can fried onion rings, crushed, set aside.

Directions:
Directions:
Thaw the green beans in a colander.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the green beans, water chestnuts, mushrooms, cheese and soup.
Use a 2-qt. casserole dish or 13"x9" pan, greased.

Cover and cook very slowly at 325º for 2 hours.

Top the casserole with canned onion rings and bake uncovered few more minutes.

Mary Ann Tow gave me this recipe in 1977. There are many variation's of this recipe now, but I think this one is the best.
