Directions:
Preheat oven 350º. Dissolve gelatin in 1 1/2 cup really hot water. Add 3/4 cup ice cold water; set aside until it reaches room temp.

Mix and bake cake as directed in a 13x9x2 pan. Cool cake 20-25 min.

Poke deep holes through top of warm cake with a meat fork or toothpick; space holes about 1" apart. With a cup slowly pour gelatin mixture into holes. Refrigerate cake while preparing topping.

Topping: In a chilled, deep bowl, blend and whip topping mix, instant pudding, cold milk & vanilla until stiff (3-8 min.). Immediately frost cake. If desired garnish with strawberry slices. Cake must be stored in the refrigerator and served chilled.

Personal Notes:
I find it easier to use a baster or even a straw to squirt the gelatin in the holes.
