2 c sugar
1/3 c light corn syrup
1 c butter
1/2 t salt
1 t baking soda
1 t vanilla
5 c pecans
2 lbs dipping chocolate

Directions:
Directions:
Toast pecans in 300º oven til slightly roasted. Do not burn. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a large pot. Cook on medium heat stirring constantly until 310º. Add butter. This will cool mixture. Bring heat to 290º then remove from heat. Stir in other ingredients. Pour onto waxed paper, spread and cool completely. Break into pieces. Dip into melted dipping chocolate. Cool and serve.

You can use white or dark dipping chocolate or 1 lb each for variety.
