Ingredients:  
1 c dates
1 c boiling water
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c sugar
2 Tlb. butter
1 egg
1/2 c nuts
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 c flour

Combine dates boiling water and soda and let cool. Add remaining ingredients. Bake 350 for 30min. Top with 1/2 c dates 1/2 c sugar, 1/2 c water, 1 Tlb. butter, 1/2 c nuts and boil till thick. Spread on cake when cool. Use whip cream on top to serve.
