1/2 lb. peanut butter
1-1/2 cup powdered sugar
cream butter and powdered sugar,then add 3-1/2 cup sq.chocolate melted,a dash of salt,2 tsp. of vanilla.mix in saucepan all together.place desired amount on pie crusts(about 6in. rounds) and fry in hot grease.turning once.makes 16 pies.

2 tbsp. powdered sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1 cup shortening
7 or 8 tbsp. cold water
sift together dry ingredients,add shortening and cut in-add cold water and mix just till it comes together and forms a ball.
