1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
1 egg
1 c. grated carrot

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add other ingredients. Drop 1 tsp. on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º
for 15 minutes. Frost while still warm with:
2 T. orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind
1 1/2 T. melted butter
Enough powdered sugar to spread

Another of Gram & Myrtle's recipes. Quick way to grate the carrot: cut it in chunks and put it in the blender with water over it. Grate and then drain in a fine strainer.
