6 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/2 lb Butter (softened)
2 c sifted Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder

Solo Pastry and Pie Filling (can be found at Stater Brothers - Apricot and Cherry are the best)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cream Butter and Cream Cheese together until light and fluffy.
Sift flour and baking powder together
Add flour a little at a time.
Form dough into a ball and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Lightly flour a cutting board and roll out dough to 1/4 inch.
Cut out 3 inch rounds and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Indent middle slightly and spoon the filling in the middle.
Bake about 10 minutes.
When cooled dust with powdered sugar.

Grandma Evie made these at Christmas. She most likely got the recipe from her sister-in-law who was Bohemian. These are more of a pastry then a cookie and are delicious beyond belief. They are delicious warm and were the first 'treats' to disappear whenever my mom made them. They are such a special treat for the holidays (or ANY day!)
