1 cup salted peanuts
6 tbsp butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp maple flavoring
1/2 tsp salt
16-oz (4 1/2 cups) sifted confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Chop 1/2 cup of the nuts finely and the remaining 1/2 cup coarsely. In large mixer bowl, blend together butter, corn syrup, maple flavoring and salt. Stir in sugar all at once; knead till smooth. Add a few drops of water if necessary. Knead in the finely chopped peanuts. Shape mixture into two rolls; brush with a little additional corn syrup and roll immediately in the coarsely chopped nuts. Wrap; chill. Makes 1 1/2 pounds of candy.
