2 Cups Flour
2 Tsp. Soda
1 Tsp. Cloves
1 Tsp. Ginger
2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg, unbeaten
3/4 Cup Shortening
1/4 Cup Molasses (4 Tbsp)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Sift dry ingredients together. Add remaining mix well. Roll into balls and roll in sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet about 10 minutes. Yields about 4 to 5 dozen.
