1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup cultured sour cream
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 cups flour

Frosting:
1 pound powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 package cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
Milk to thin
Directions:
Directions:
Cream the eggs, sugar, butter and Crisco until well mixed. Add the sour cream, mixing well. Add the vanilla, soda, salt and baking powder,mixing well. Add the flour to the mixture. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350º about 8-10 minutes. Watch carefully, so they don't turn brown. After cooled, frost and decorate.

This is an excellent cut-out cookie recipe, one that has been made yearly. Usually this recipe has been quadrupled! For the past three years, a cookie day has been planned for all the grandchildren to come to grandma's house to frost and decorate a table full of cookies!
