3 1/4 c flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 stick butter
1 1/4 c sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
1/4 c milk
Red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients, except food coloring, to form a dough. Split the dough in half and color half of it red. Roll small pieces of dough of each color. Combine the two to form a candy cane. Dust the top with sugar or crystalized sugar. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
