¼ cup all purpose flour
1 pkg (18 oz) refrigerated cookie dough
Assorted hard candies
1 box of confectioner’s sugar
4 tsps powdered egg white
4 tbsp water
Assorted color decorating gels

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 3 baking sheets with foil. On a floured surface, knead flour into dough; roll dough in a ¼ inch thickness. Using a large star cutter, cut out star shapes; transfer to prepared baking sheets. Use a small star cutter to cut the centers out of the large stars. Transfer the small stars to baking sheets. Bake the cookies until golden, 8-10 minutes. Place baking sheets on a wire rack. Remove the small stars and set aside. Place like colored candies into plastic bags and break into small pieces with a kitchen mallet. Fill the cutout space of each large star with 1 tsp. Crushed candy; brush away excess. Bake until candy is melted, about 2 minutes. Place baking sheets on wire racks to cool. For frosting, in a large bowl, using an electric mixer set on high speed, beat the confectioners sugar, powdered egg white and water until thick and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Remove the cookies from the foil. Working on one cookie at a time, evenly spread frosting onto cookie. Pipe dots and lines of different color decorating gels onto the frosting. Drag a toothpick or skewer through the gel to feather. Repeat with remaining cookies. Set cookies aside until completely dry.
