1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c shortening, softened
3/4 c packed brown sugar
3/4 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 c nuts, coarsely chopped
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 F. Beat butter, shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy. Mix in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop from teaspoon, 2" apart, on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
