1 stick butter melted, 4 squares chocolate, 1/2 tsp. salt, stir in 3 cups, white sugar (4 T. at a time), 1/3 cup water, 1/3 cup white karo syrup, 1 15 oz. can evaporated milk.

Melt butter in sauce pan. Add chocolate, salt, sugar, water and karo syrup. Bring ingredients to a boil. Slowly add 1 15 oz. can evaporated milk. Bring to a boil again. After adding the half of the sugar, add the water, then the rest of the sugar, then karo syrup.
