4 c. sugar, 2/3 c. cocoa, 1/4 c. butter, 1 c. milk, 1 c. peanut butter, 1 tsp. vanilla, 6 c. oatmeal.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Bring to boil for approx. 1 minute. Remove from stove. Add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal and mix. Form cookies and place on waxed paper.

Jan Gevelinger Davies remembers enjoying making these cookies with her mom, Eleanor, after school. Since no baking was involved, we had our treats immediately. Alex Bastian likes to make these, just using peanut butter, without the cocoa, a tradition that started when we were out of that ingredient. Eleana and Alex submitted it for their Madison Central Montessori preschool cookbook, as one of their favorites!
